Professional liquidator

Just like one executor or an authorized representative, a liquidator is responsible for the settlement of a legacy. The liquidator is responsible, among other things, for drawing up the inventory, paying creditors and paying out inheritance shares to all heirs. If no executor has been appointed in a will and one or more heirs have beneficiarily accepted the estate, the heirs are joint liquidators and are jointly responsible for the settlement of the estate.

Partiar as a professional liquidator

However, in some cases it is not possible to reach a settlement. Settlement of an estate is not easy and takes a lot of time. Certainly when there is a complex estate with debts or an unmanaged estate. We speak of an unattended estate if;

  • not all heirs are known or respond;
  • all heirs have rejected;
  • the estate is not administered by an executor.

In the case of an unmanaged estate, the Court may be requested to appoint a professional, independent liquidator. Partiar can guide you through this procedure.

Why a professional liquidator?

A professional, independent liquidator is an expert and has experience in settling estates. Because the professional liquidator is at a distance from the estate and therefore not emotionally involved, decisions can often be made more quickly. This benefits the settlement of the estate and speeds up the settlement.

Partiar has specialized in the settlement of estates for over 15 years. Partiar is regularly appointed as liquidator and, thanks to its expertise in the field of inheritance law, has already completed many liquidations.

For who?

Partiar can act as liquidator for heirs or creditors in unattended estates. But as a lawyer, do you have a client who is involved in a conflict of inheritance and are you looking for a professional liquidator for this? Partiar can also help you with this.
